Welcome to the Month of March 2024

Exodus 14: 13-15 “…Tell my people to go forward.”

”Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.“. Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

”The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”. ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

”Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.“. Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Glory be to God, February is gone, March is here.

I pray that we shall all keep marching forward. It shall be a magnificent month of March with warmer and longer days ahead filled with joy for all of us. I hope we can all say goodbye to winter soon.

The bible talks about the movement of God’s people in Exodus, particularly chapter 14:13-15. The Israelites were trapped against the sea; and they were being chased by the Egyptians’ army, sweeping in for the kill. The Israelites thought they were doomed. After experiencing God’s powerful hand that delivered them from slavery, their response at this time was only fear, anxiety and panic. Where was their faith in God?

The Israelites’ lack of faith in God is unbelievable! In reflection; how often do we find ourselves doing the same thing, complaining and grumbling over inconveniences or discomforts? The people of Israel were about to learn some tough lessons. Had they trusted God, they would have been spared much grief. As the people were hostile, complaining and grumbling towards God, Moses had a positive attitude and encouraged them to watch the wonderful way God would rescue them.

Truly, God intervened when Moses called on God in prayer. Learn that instead of giving up or crying, we should adopt the attitude of Moses, to stand firm and “see the deliverance the Lord will bring.” We may not be chased by any army, but we may still feel trapped, challenged and worried.

As God told Moses to stop praying and get moving and start marching forward, we should start doing the same thing. Certainly, prayer has a vital place and role in our lives but there is also a place for action. Sometimes we know what to do, but we pray for more guidance as an excuse to postpone or procrastinate doing the action. If you know what to do, then this is the time to get moving and to keep marching forward.

As we have started the month of March, I pray we shall keep marching forward; going places; being lifted higher and upward and never go down. This month shall be full of joy, happy moments, blessings with unusual favour for all of us. All the barriers erected against our breakthroughs shall be dismantled and destroyed by Fire. Keep shining, keep smiling and continue to flourish.

Isaiah 60:1 says; “Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you”. Greater grace and greater glory for us all in Jesus Christ’s mighty name.

Shalom.
