Pastor Richard’s Message for November 2024.

Welcome to the month of November 2024

Happy New month to you all.

Welcome to the month of November 2024

Greater Love.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

A “Happy New Month” to you all.  Praise God. We all made it to the new month. We are thankful to God for being alive, especially during this global high cost of living crisis and the newly released budget from the labour government in UK. I believe we are all feeling positive about the gradual change of the weather. Hopes are rising, the year is ending slowly and Christmas is fast approaching too.

November, is an uplifting and amazing month.  Many people use to start the month with positivity and motivation. November often carries a sense of anticipation as the year nears its end. It’s a time to look forward to upcoming festivities, colder weather in many places. Do you love the pretty falling leaves? Nothing says autumn is ending like November.

I hope this new month will bring a lot of changes to our lives. Here in the UK, the time has been changed; we gained one hour since last Sunday, and people are happier. The day gets darker quickly. We have shorter days and longer nights. Do not forget that a new month will always come with new challenges and purposes for everyone. It is my fervent prayer that we all overcome all our challenges, become victorious and successful in this month and beyond in Jesus Christ’s mighty name.

Let us not forget one significant thing. John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this, that a man laid down his life for his friends”. We are to love each other as Jesus Christ loved us. He loves us enough to lay down his life for us. We may not have to die for someone, but there are other ways to practice sacrificial love. For example, listening actively, helping, encouraging, giving support, advice, and information. Think of someone in particular who needs this kind of love today.

Give all the love you can without expecting back. Remember, Jesus Christ is our Lord and Master, who should call us servants or slaves; instead, he calls us friends. How comforting and re-assuring to be chosen as Jesus Christ’s friends. Take a sober reflection: Jesus Christ is our Lord and master; we owe him our absolute obedience. Jesus Christ makes the first choice and the first move: to love and to die for us and has invited us to live forever with him. What a great offer! We are to make the next choice, to accept or reject his offer. Realise that without his choice, we would have no choice to make.

As we progress in the journey of life. Be patient. It will help you to “be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer” Romans 12:12. Patience is the key to all doors of success. Patience teaches us the art of hard work and faith in God. We should endeavour to practice this daily so that we can find the real concept of success, joy, and happiness.

I pray that our confidence in God will grow more as our Lord Jesus Christ has demonstrated. Your hope for a better future will keep rising as the month of November has just begun. Get ready to gather all the treasures and blessings. Help others by giving them smiles and happiness so that everyone can enjoy and participate in joyful moments as we are in the 11th month of the year. Wishing you all a nice and pleasant day ahead.

SHALOM

Pastor Richard.
